PIT ORCHESTRA
The pit orchestra is an extra-curricular ensemble formed each spring for the school musical. Rehearsals take place after school starting in December. The pit orchestra is composed of an elite group of hardworking musicians who are ready to take on additional challenge and responsibility. Lettering points are given for participating musicians.
Musical Pit Expectations
All pit musicians are expected to attend all afterschool rehearsals, as well as all shows. Pit orchestra is an elite ensemble with high-level music. Students are expected to be practicing their music outside of class, and maintain good academic standing (no more than 1 F) through the duration of the rehearsal period.
All absences will be communicated to Mrs. Wiarda well in advance. More than 2 unexcused absences will result in a re-evaluation of a student's role in pit orchestra
