Concert Bands
Our 3 concert bands are the heart of our band program, and form the basis of our curriculum. We offer Concert Band, Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble as curricular classes.
CONCERT BAND
Concert Band is open to all instrumentalists who demonstrate an interest in improving their performing skills and technical proficiency through performance in band. This small ensemble is suited for students that may still be learning how to play their instruments or want to learn a secondary instrument.
SYMPHONIC BAND
Symphonic Band is open to all instrumentalists who demonstrate an interest in improving their performing skills and technical proficiency through performance in band. This large concert ensemble performs a variety of wind band repertoire. During the school year, this ensemble performs concerts in our school auditorium and also attends state concert band festivals. Incoming freshman that play wind and percussion instruments should register for this class.
WIND ENSEMBLE
Wind Ensemble is an audition only class open to all wind and percussion instrumentalists who demonstrate a high level of technical and musical proficiency and the interest in improving these skills to attain the highest level of artistry possible for both the individual and ensemble. This elite concert ensemble performs a variety of wind band repertoire, as well as orchestral literature to form the wind and percussion section of the Symphony Orchestra. During the school year, this ensemble performs concerts in our school auditorium and also attends state concert band festivals.
